| Submission...As Americans it's a hard concept to grasp. Especially hard for me. A friend pointed out that it's no wonder that I struggle so much with the idea of submitting. You see, my passion and love is relationships. There's nothing more that I want than to be married, and to share in deep and meaningful relationships. The core of it all is ultimately submitting to one another. I believe that Satan knows the things that God has placed on our hearts and tries to destroy them by making us weak.
I am learning what it truly looks like to be submissive. In a missions journal that I recently read, one entry stated: "We cannot pretend to be submissive to God, if we are not submissive to our human brothers and sisters in Christ."
Another writer said, "...our goal is complete submission becuase it is impossible to position ourselves semi-prostrate before the King - either we're flat down or we opt out of it altogether. This is a gift, because complete submission brings with it...Kingdom eyes."
That is what I want - Kingdom eyes. I want to submit to the people around me, ultimately submitting to my Creator so that He can give me eyes to see His Kingdom.

| Ok boys...read up.
Here's a little insight into the way we think as women...but let me first preface it with the fact that I don't want to sound high maintenance or demanding.
Chivilary is a big deal. Open doors, letting us into the car, walking on the side of the sidewalk closest to the street so we don't have to, carrying things for us...just in general being protective. That means a lot to us. Those are little things that have a huge impact on a girl. It almost sounds ridiculous but basically that's all it takes to sweep us off our feet. It's something that every girl notices and expects...even the most independent of us.
You can take this, or leave it...but you can't say that you were never told.
| Ok, here's the situ...
I know that we can't mess up God's plan for our lives (if we are seeking His will), but do you think that we can put unnecessary obstacles in the way?
